Great for consumers, although a little painful for anyone connected to the portable Sat Nav market. Google Maps Navigation is to be given away free with mobile phones it was announced yesterday. It's feature rich as well, with turn by turn driving instructions, integration with search and street view plus live traffic data.
In response Garmins share price fell 18% whilst Tom Tom dropped 13%.
