For those of you following the ongoing evolution of Bing and it's search results, you may have noticed a major reindexing in the last few days. For those of us with mulitple websites to manage it's been a case of swings and roundabouts.
One site we manage has seen it's rankings jump considerably, causing it to lift on average some 20 places in the rankings for target keywords. Great news eh! Another though has dropped by at least the same margin, which isn't such great news.
We're currently trying to understand the change in the algorithum and the implications for various websites. Has Bing placed a greater emphasis on fresh on-site content, outbound links or is it a change in how it views the quality and quantity of inbound links. Watch this space...
