Following on from Bing's lead, Google have quietly introduced Page Preview technology. Search on something in Google, then click on "Page Options" at the bottom you'll see a "Page Preview" option and voila, you get extra text and an image of the site. Note sure it's as neat as Bings current solution but it certainly shows you where they are heading to, or looking at for inspiration!
