For sometime Rupert Murdoch has stood against the might of the search engines. He's been increasingly critical of their nature describing them as "parasites" due to the way they use 3rd party content for their own gains at no cost.
He's long wanted to charge for access to news content on his own sites and appears to be moving ahead with this process. But now he appears to be upping the ante as he speculates on removing his own sites from Google's index. Interviewed recently on Sky News Australia he was asked why he hadn't simply blocked Google from indexing his content and responded "I think we will, but that's when we start charging."
It'll be interesting to see how this develops, the full story can be read here on PC Pro.
